Yearbook-Design
Since my freshman year of high school, I have always wanted to have the opportunity to learn InDesign and how to make a good-looking spread for the yearbook. Even though I would like to say that I was a natural, I know that I was NOT. It took countless hours not only to learn the program on my own but also to take constructive criticism from my advisor and peers. By taking the time to play around with InDesign, Illustrator, Fresco, and other Adobe platforms I can say that I have definitely. I have even received an excellence Award from the MIPA Summer workshop from the class Design Like a Pro with Haley Kluge.

2025 Cover design
"It all starts HERE"
Being one of four editors in chiefs it was difficult nailing down the cover for the 52 additions of "The Executive". Since we knew that there would be four of us having to agree on a design, I started working on different covers as soon as we were finished with spring sports for the 51st addition while gaining input from coeditors. The first design we worked on used was the design in white. We wanted to use different shapes other than the normal circle, since we have used that element often. The next design shows the progress I made to reach our final design.
Weekley-Home Coming Pep Assembly spread
Something unique about this page was getting all of these photos. In the main photo on the top mod you may see that I am the one in the teal dress. There were only two people takin photos. We also had to play around with the mod in the top right to help make sure that you could see the entire subject.

Sports - Football Spread
Something that Makes me proud of this page is the fact that I can say that I have helped with this page from beginning to end. From the design, writing story, taking the photos and even to writing the captions. This wasn't how it originally started, but due to the page not being done the week before our deadline, my advisor handed it off to me to finalize and make it ready to submit.

Weekley - Week 1
This year our staff has been very good about keeping up with what is going on during the week and trying to complete that past week as soon as possible. Even going back to the first week of school, when most publications are trying to finalize their cover or still coming up with a theme, we were working on the first week's content as soon as we had pictures for it.

Weekly - Book Breaker
Over the past four years I have always helped design our publications beakers. Although I hated having design inspiration going into a new project, I finally understand how necessary it is to have some sort of inspiration. This year we also have decided to include our book color pallet and shapes on our breakers to make our book look more cohesive.

Weekly - Detroit Lions Beaker
Although sadly the Lions lost in the playoffs on their way to the super bowl, we still wanted to commemorate there amazing success this season. We luckily have a lot of students and staff that support the lions whether it is from Ford Feild or just sitting in their living room at home.

Utica Community Schools- Billboards
As a part of my internship with Utica Community schools I had the opportunity to design two billboards that have been displayed at the corner of sixteen and Dodge Park. Having this opportunity to make these billboards was amazing, it taught me that you have to make sure that it doesn't just look good close up, but it also has to look good from a distance. The First billboard I designed was the one about the legacy of learning. This billboard showcased two pictures that displayed activates that range from K-12 along with using one of the districts branding phrases to incorporate their branding materials. The second Billboard that I designed was for the Future home of Stevenson Athletics. This billboard was created to help advertise where the new athletic fields for steven son will be after the construction was finished. This was an important billboard to show case what the area will look like after the construction is finished.
