Capturing my first baseball game was a new experience. I was thrilled to freeze the moment as a player hurled the ball towards home plate, just in time to catch the runner trying to score. The energy of the game and the intensity of that split second made the photo truly special. It was a memorable introduction to baseball form the photography end especially getting to see how the team encouraged each other from the dugout.

I believe that this photo follows the rule of thirds. It Also has a framing aspect due to where that net is placed. By following the rule of thirds, it daw's attention to the athlete due to the contrast of her jersey compared to the lighter environment.

This photo is remarkable due to the lighting. With track you never know what the weather is going to be like, so when it was a day where there were no clouds and only sun, I knew I had to go. High jump can be a tough event to capture because athletes can come and do their jumps through the meet, along with having to know what angle to take the photo from.

Even though the season was over I continued to ask me to come and take photos of their baseballs Districts game by my student athletes on the team. By going to this game, I saw joy and devastation within all of the players. This picture captured the true emotion and the vulnerability of students that usually are shown as tough.
