Winter sports
Winter sports bring a unique energy to the colder months, filling the season with excitement and competition. Whether it's the fast-paced intensity of hockey on ice or the teamwork and skill showcased in indoor basketball, each sport offers its own thrill. The sound of skates gliding across the rink and the echo of a basketball hitting the court create an atmosphere of pure adrenaline. These winter activities not only keep me active but also strengthen bonds with teammates, making every game and practice a memorable experience.

Reflection
In this photo, I was able to capture the movement of the ice which can be difficult to get, but I was lucky to achieve this during my first time taking photos of hockey. I was able to sit on the benches with the players for this game which made the photos clearer since I did not have to deal with the Plexi glass or the safety net. This photo made me really proud because it made me realize that I am good at taking photos of other sports then just the fall ones

Every player has their own routine while shooting a penalty point in basketball. To get this photo I sat under the net which can be a dangerous place when in game, but I was luckily able to freeze the ball and the player in time to capture this photo of her dribbling the ball getting ready to shoot.

Although action photos are great, you sometimes need to capture the reactions of the players during the game. while on the bench I captured the reactions of this player watching the game seeing what his teammates were accomplishing. This was a great photo to capture because It uses the technique of center of visual interest which was focused on one of the players that went to ford.

Although taking photos at an away game can be a hassle to attend, I have learned that some of the best photos I have taken happen when I am in an environment that contrasts from the subject. I personally thought that due to the contrast of the orange gym and the lighting compared to the lighting that we have at home made the subject stand out more along with making the image crisper.

This photo showed me how much a team can be considered family. This was at one of the last basketball games before the girls' basketball team went to districts. To get this bird's eye view of the team before the game, I was given permission to go on to the court and take photos of the team getting hyped up before the first quarter.
