Fall Sports
Fall sports hold a special place in my heart, bringing excitement and camaraderie to the season. Whether it's the rhythmic movements of dance, the spirited cheers from the sidelines, or the thrill of football games under the Friday lights, each sport has its unique charm. Boys' soccer adds an element of strategy and teamwork that I truly admire. These fall activities not only keep me active but also create lasting memories with friends and teammates.

In this photo, something unique I had to deal with was the stadium lighting. This was one of my first experiences taking photos at night, which meant that I had to adjust the settings to be able to have the colors pop as much as they could while also keeping the subject in focus. As one of my favorite sports to take photos of has helped me be able to share the exciting moments of the game and the crowed by capturing these moments and being able to look back and remember what happened.

This was a photo that shocked me when I saw it on the preview screen. This photo was taken in manual, so when I saw how clear it was once I got home, I knew that we had to use it in this year's book. I have always had a love for being on the football field which has driven my love for photography, so when I saw this photo, it made me proud of how far I have come in advancing my skills in photography.

This photo shows the use of center of visual interest which is used to this photos advantage by using the stadium light in the background to frame the cheerleader to make her stand out along with the beautiful vivid color of the sky. I was able to capture this photo while they were practicing before the game started.

I love how in this photo I was to create a depth of field by keeping the player and the ball in focus. I have learned that while taking photos of very active sports like soccer it is hard to keep what you want in focus while having the things that you want out of focus at the same time.

For this photo of the Ford Falcon and the dancers, I had to get onto the ground to be eye level with the Falcon using the yard line as a leading line to the subject. The yard line also helps with repetition as the Falcon’s beak is also yellow. This photo was special because it was the debut of the newly purchased mascot for our 2023 Homecoming and wasn’t involved in the dance during the Homecoming prep assembly.
